The Problems:
- A year ago, Zeke Camusio was running a very successful marketing agency, but all his new clients came from referrals. Zeke knew it was time to take his business to the next level using Social Media Marketing.
- Because all his new clients were coming through referrals, Zeke’s website had very little traffic. Zeke was determined to multiply it at least by 10 in one year.
What We Did:
- We identified his ideal client and created a profile so we could know who we were going to be creating content for. We surveyed people that matched the profile and asked them what Internet marketing topics they were interested in.
- Once we knew who we were creating content for and what kind of content they wanted, we found online communities of people that matched the ideal client profile.
- We positioned Zeke as an online marketing expert by transforming his knowledge into content and using viral marketing to distribute this content all over the Internet. We used Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, forums, blogs, social networks, social bookmarking sites and article directories.
The Results:
- We grew his subscribers list from almost 500 to over 15,000 in less than a year.
- We increased the monthly website traffic from 451 to 3,316 in the first six months and now they’re at 8,834. In the last year the website traffic multiplied 19 times.
- Zeke’s agency got 26 new clients in 2009 and doubled its size compared to 2008.
- Zeke has been approached by Entrepreneur.com, the largest entrepreneurship portal in the world, to be their “Internet Marketing Expert” and answer the questions of their members.
- Rich Sloan, the founder of StartupNation.com (one of the largest online communities for entrepreneurs), offered Zeke a book writing deal, which ended up generating a lot of new clients for his marketing agency.
- Zeke is now a guest blogger at most of the top 10 Internet marketing blogs and gets numerous inquiries from hot prospects every single day.
- Zeke has just been invited to be a part of two of the most important Social Media Marketing conferences in the United States.

- John Hersey is one of the most amazing leadership speakers in the world, but he wasn’t taking much advantage of the Internet to promote himself. His website was outdated and he was doing no Social Media Marketing.
What We Did:
- Because John is a speaker, potential clients need to see him perform; that’s why we decided to use video as the main type of content for his social media marketing campaign. We’re producing 15 videos per month and distributing to the top 10 video sharing sites, top 5 podcast sites, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. We’re using some advanced viral video marketing tactics to get John wide exposure.
- John’s target market is meeting planners, so we’re distributing all the content to communities of meeting planners (blogs, forums, message boards, LinkedIn groups, Facebook groups and Google Groups). We’re also helping John to find and connect with the most influential players of the meeting planning industry, using Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. They see John as a very valuable resource because he shares world-class content with them, which helps them become better meeting planners.
- We help John monitor his brand and name. This way, when someone talks about him or his company on Twitter, blogs or a social network, he gets email alerts, can see what others are saying about him and he can be part of the conversation.
- We write press releases and send them to the most influential business journalists.
- We optimized John’s website to be Social Media-friendly. We added a blog, put links to his social media profiles, installed widgets that display the latest Twitter updates and added “Share This” buttons so his readers can share his content with their friends easily.
- We worked out deals with the most respected leadership bloggers so John can publish his articles on the top blogs in the industry. By leveraging all these top-tier blogs, John has now access to tens of thousands of potential clients he couldn’t reach otherwise.
