I'm glad you liked it Mike. Great point about Twitter followers. That's why you need to do it slowly.

I never followed anybody before they followed me, so I definitely believe in organic growth, but most people are anxious and want things to happen now!

Social Media Marketing is great for those that have a lot of time and no money. It's also great for those that can invest in a long-term marketing solution. If you want immediate results, stay away from Social Media Marketing because building relationships take time and the moment you start telling people about your services, they ran away. LET THEM ASK YOU WHAT YOU DO FOR A LIVING (they can also check your profile, but never tell them unless they ask). If you become friends with people, when they or someone they know need your services, they'll give you a call.

Another great post by Zeke, giving away for free what lots of other people charge for. You're the man, Mr. C.

The challenge I've always had with the "Follow them, they'll follow you" strategy = low conversion. Plus you max out your Twitter following QUICKLY (#followed cannot exceed 10% of #following)

Your point of QUALITY over QUANTITY is DEFINITELY one that should be taken to heart. Are you listening, people?

It's definitely a great starter strategy. But if anybody wants to go down the road of having a fully automated, content aggregated media strategy, I recommend hiring a Social Media Manager. They take over and build it organically, so you always have more followers than followed, etc.

If Zeke (and the outsourcing company) provided this service, I would have gone with him. The man knows his stuff. Maybe in the future?

Currently I use the team over at SMMgr.com for $150 bucks a week. Ironically, I wrote about this on my blog last Tuesday.

...great minds think alike? lol

Again: great post.
